Shelburne Vineyard Wine and Food Festival

Shelburne Vineyard to Host Wine and Food Festival to Benefit Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf

Shelburne Vineyard's Second Annual Autumn Wine and Food Festival will happen on Saturday, November 13 at their Shelburne Road Winery and Tasting Room. As they did last year, the Vineyard will combine the Festival with a Fundraiser and Food Drive for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. Last year's event resulted in raising over $400 and 480 pounds of non-perishable food donations and the Vineyard hopes to top that amount with this year's Festival.

Scheduled from 11 AM to 5 PM, the event will celebrate the end of harvest and the beginning of the holiday season by bringing together producers of some of Vermont's most delectable specialty foods and wines. With free tasting of Shelburne Vineyard wines as well as wines from Eden Ice Cider and Artesano Mead and sampling of tasty specialties to the notes of live jazz with Joe Capps and Chris Peterman, visitors can sample and plan their holiday meals and gift giving choices. Food sampling will include delicacies like Cavendish Quail and Vermont Smoke and Cure meats, stuffing from Olivia's, sumptuous cheeses from VT Creamery, Shelburne Farms and Fat Toad Farm, fresh breads from Red Hen and Bread and Butter Farm, salads and spreads from Shelburne Kitchen, and finish with sweets from Daily Chocolate and caramel sauces from Fat Toad.

Tasting and Sampling will be free, and all the participating producers will also have products available for sale so visitors can get a head start on holiday shopping. Shelburne Vineyard is asking that those who attend bring along a donation of non-perishable food items to benefit the Food Shelf, and there will be a raffle of savory treats donated by the vendors the proceeds of which will also benefit the Food Shelf. Shelburne Vineyard is located at 6308 Shelburne Road, Shelburne VT 05482 between the Shelburne Museum and Vermont Teddy Bear.
